1 Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, profile photo (if uploaded), and password.
• Authentication identifiers when you sign in with Apple or Google.
• Subscription information managed by Apple's App Store. We never receive your payment card details.
• Spiritual practice content you create: conversations with Revi (our AI companion), daily intentions and evening reflections, prayer requests and prayer history, study plan progress, settings and preferences (Bible version, notifications, growth areas).

Information generated for you:

• AI-generated content created on your behalf — sermons, podcast episodes (Revi Studio), study plans, devotionals, and growth journey summaries.
• Audio files for generated sermons and podcast episodes.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: device model, OS version, unique device identifier, app version, language, timezone.
• Usage data: features you use, screens you view, actions you take, session duration.
• Diagnostic information if the app crashes or encounters errors.
• IP address at the time of API requests.

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, microphone audio (outside features you initiate), camera images (unless you upload a profile photo), or biometric data.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate the Service and provide its features.
• Personalize Revi and other AI features based on your conversation history, prayers, daily rhythm activity, and study plan progress.
• Generate AI content you request (sermons, podcast episodes, study plans, daily devotionals).
• Send push notifications about your daily rhythm, generated content readiness, and account-related updates (you can opt out in your device or app settings).
• Process subscription purchases through Apple's App Store.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Communicate with you about your account or our Service.
• Improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your spiritual practice content for advertising.

3 Third-Party Services We Use

We share specific data with these processors solely to operate the Service:

We may also disclose your information if required by law (subpoena, court order), to protect the rights and safety of others, or in connection with a corporate transaction (e.g. merger or acquisition) where the recipient agrees to honor this Policy.

4 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored encrypted at rest (MongoDB Atlas, AWS S3) and transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard practices including access controls, audit logging, and rotated credentials. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security and you use the Service at your own risk.

Data is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

5 Your Rights

You can:

• Access the personal information we have about you by emailing us.
• Update your profile (name, email, photo) directly in the app.
• Delete your account and all associated content from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing us.
• Opt out of push notifications in your device settings or in the app's notification preferences.
• Cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. We do not control billing — it is managed by Apple.
• Withdraw consent for our use of your information. Note: withdrawing consent may make parts of the Service unusable.

If you reside in California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may also have the right to data portability, restriction of processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

6 Data Retention

• Active accounts: we retain your data for as long as your account is active.
• Deleted accounts: when you delete your account, we delete your personal information and content within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before they are overwritten.
• Anonymized analytics: aggregated, de-identified usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
• Legal obligations: we may retain certain records longer where required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

7 Children's Privacy

Revelate is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app, via email, or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
