Terms of Use

1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Revelate. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it current.

2 Your Account

You are responsible for:

• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Keeping your login credentials confidential.
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3 Subscriptions and Billing

Revelate offers a free tier and Premium subscriptions ("Premium Monthly" at $5.99/month and "Premium Yearly" at $59.99/year, prices subject to change at our discretion with notice).

Free Trial

New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. During the trial, you have full Premium access. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and the listed price is charged to your Apple ID.

Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your iOS device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Refunds

All purchases are final. Refunds, if any, are issued by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. Revelate does not process direct refunds.

Free Tier Limits

The free tier includes monthly limits on Revi chat messages, sermon generations, podcast episode generations, and active study plans. Specific limits are subject to change. Upgrading to Premium removes or expands these limits as described in the app.

4 AI-Generated Content

Revelate uses artificial intelligence (currently OpenAI's models) to generate content including chat responses (Revi), sermons, podcast episodes, devotionals, and study plans.

You acknowledge:

• AI-generated content is a tool, not a substitute for pastoral care, theological expertise, mental-health treatment, or medical, legal, or financial advice.
• AI may produce errors, including factual mistakes, mistranslations, misquoted scripture, or confidently incorrect statements — you should verify any specific claims, especially scripture references, in a trusted Bible.
• AI does not represent the official position of any church, denomination, or theological tradition.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or theological soundness of any AI output.
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call a crisis line (in the U.S.: 988).

You retain ownership of the prompts and content you create. You grant Revelate a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or harm any person.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or scrape AI models or proprietary content.
• Probe, scan, or test the Service's security.
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, obscene, hateful, or that violates any third party's rights.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service without our written permission.
• Use automated tools to interact with the Service in ways that exceed normal personal use.
• Attempt to circumvent free-tier limits or subscription gating.

We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict your account if we determine you have violated these rules.

6 Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, branding, and proprietary content in the Service are owned by Ledger Labs LLC or its licensors. The "Revelate" name and any associated marks may not be used without our written consent.

Bible translations and other public-domain texts remain in the public domain. Licensed Bible translations (when offered in future versions) remain the property of their respective publishers.

7 Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including OpenAI, Google Firebase, Amazon Web Services, MongoDB Atlas, and Apple). Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their actions, downtime, or changes.

8 Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or appropriate. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ledger Labs LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Ledger Labs LLC in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those cases, the foregoing limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ledger Labs LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11 Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the app's Settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms.
• We are required to do so by law.
• We discontinue the Service (we will provide reasonable notice where possible).

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Disclaimers) will survive.

12 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis (no class actions). The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app, via email, or by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
